The Attentive Traveler – Italy 2023 – Where we slept – Milan – Hotel Spadari

We got this one right…

The Hotel Spadari is perfectly located – it is less than two blocks from the Duomo.  The lobby and design is very art-deco.  It was designed by Milanese Artist Gio Pomodoro (Joe Tomato).  This hotel is very classy – very professional. Our room (#10) was a two story room with a spiral staircase that led to a very large bathroom with separate tub, shower, changing room, and toilet.  The main floor was a living room area with workspace for me, and a back bedroom that had a very comfortable bed (memory foam mattress) and another ½ bath right off the bedroom.

Breakfast was served each morning in a very comfortable meal area. A wide assortment of cheeses, breads, cereals, croissants and rolls were available each day, as well as fresh squeezed juices.  They also provided made-to-order eggs – one could order scrambled, fried, over easy.  Not likely up to an omelet, but still excellent.  Each evening from 5 – 8:30 they also offered a hospitality reception with complementary Prosecco.

Quality and Class from start to finish.  This is certainly on our highly suggested list.
