Flying solo in Madison Wisconsin while attending a Rotary Youth Exchange event. Treated myself to a bit of Dry Aged New York Strip Steak, Lump Crab Cake and some off the charts French Onion Soup!
This better class restaurant is in downtown Madison not far from the Capital. Think lots of dark paneling… but enough good lighting so I could do a little reading while waiting for dinner. Service was very attentive. The French Onion Soup is what will make me come back here… the bread used is rye bread – made on premise. Often the bread part of French Onion soup is the throw-away… get the cheese right and most are happy. But the interesting taste combination of they Rye bread really put this over the top. At some point in future posts I’ll put my top 10 locations for French Onion Soup… but for now know that if you like French Onion – make a visit to Johnny Delmonico’s!
