Chef Michael’s in Islamorada is a true gem! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The restaurant has an elegant yet unassuming atmosphere with excellent service.
The menu is simple yet full of delicious options. We tried the hogfish Juliette style, which was cooked perfectly and topped with two succulent scallops and two buttery shrimps. Jackie had the NY strip steak with fried spinach, which was cooked to perfection and topped with a bacon Gorgonzola cream.
For dessert, we shared the creme brulee and salted caramel cheesecake. Both were amazing and the perfect way to end our meal. We also had the opportunity to sample some wines before selecting one, which was a nice touch.
Reservations must be made in advance since this restaurant is very popular. All in all, Chef Michael’s is definitely worth the visit and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience in Islamorada.
