The Attentive Traveler – Bath, England – Abbey Hotel – Bath

Jackie and I have settled into our hotel in Bath – The Abbey Hotel. This Tribute level hotel (Marriott Chain) has a can’t-beat location very close to all the main tourist areas of old-town Bath.

The hotel is right around the corner from the Abbey Churchyard and has a welcoming restaurant with outdoor seating.

It also has a delightful little bar and quiet sitting area. Nice place to unwind after a long day.

The room itself was good sized – especially for European standards. We were in room 104 – which was the same room I was in during my last visit in August!

The bathroom is especially quaint. My mother will love the deep bathtub – great for a bath! (not as good if you are a less than flexible old guy. 🙂 )

Writing Desk

Closet area and ammenities

Sink area – a little lack of a staging area, although the area in the window by the tub offers more room.

Interesting style toilet with flush cord.

Deep tub design with a nice rain-style flow head. Plenty of good pressure and hot water. 🙂

We are very happy with the Abbey Hotel – very comfortable room, nice staff, and a location that can’t be beat!
