On our first night in London, we thought we would take it easy on the tourist stuff. So we checked into our home base for the week (Aster House), grabbed some dinner in the neighborhood (The Angelsea Arms)and then hopped on the tube to take in a play on the West End (Piccadilly) – the famous “Book of Mormon”.
Jackie and I love going to New York (Broadway) for a show. There is nothing like the small theater experience… and if your lucky you see it early with the original cast. But we’ve never gone wrong no matter when we see a good show. We struggle with the larger houses off broadway though… they are just too big… and the sound is not nearly as good. We had heard nothing but great things of the London theater scene… and we were not disappointed!
First – the theaters are pretty small. Pretty big by some Broadway standards. But still intimate enough to connect with the cast.
Jackie had never seen The Book of Mormon… she really enjoyed it! If you are in London… and you like going to the theater… be sure to take in a play!
