The Attentive Traveler – Bath, England – Restaurant Review – Clayton’s Kitchen

During our recent England/Scotland/Wales Adventure, I was very excited to introduce my wife to Clayton’s Kitchen in Bath, England.

I was lucky enough to walk in during my visit in August, but this time had Jackie with me. The meal that my friend Josh and I had in August was wonderful – I am happy to report that we were not disappointed!

From the Starters, we grabbed the Selection of Breads and the Pan Roasted Devon Scallops. Is there anything better than good bread with good olive oil/balsamic vinegar, sun-blasted tomato puree and olives? The Pan Roasted Scallops were also divine and we happily shared from both.

For our Main Courses, Jackie had a special – Sea Bass. I had the Pan Roasted English Filet of Beef. Jackie’s was outstanding. Mine was very very good… as a steak lover I’ve had better, but the preparation and presentation was outstanding.

One of our live mottos (especially while on holiday…) “Life is too short to skip dessert”. So we didn’t. 🙂 Jackie really enjoyed the Spiced Sticky Toffee Pudding. The Clayton’s Lemon Meringue Pudding was excellent as well.

The meal was outstanding. It did not disappoint. The staff was attentive, and this restaurant – on a Thursday Night – was hopping. Good to see that people are out enjoying the good things in life.

Clayton’s Kitchen – Highly Recommended!
