The Attentive Traveler – Tripp’s Visit to the Fair – August 2022 – Wausau, Wisconsin

Jackie and I were so excited to travel to Wausau to see little Tripp (5 Months old) and visit the Wisconsin Valley Fair!

We started by grabbing a great new find in Wausau – the Filling Station.

There is a nice vibe to this place… yes – it is a refurbished Gas Station.

A pretty simple menu… but had no challenge finding something for both of us to enjoy.

Jackie had a Skillet. I had a simple omelet.

Then it was off to the fair! The fair is small… mostly taking up the parking lot with the rides, and the animal barns next door. It is an easy to get around fair – and actually hits the sweet spot with giving a person their “dose” of the fair without making it an entire day.

Very yummy Lemonade from “Bill’s Lemonade” 🙂

A wander into the fair
Tripp had fun meeting the animals.

We got a good show of how creative, smart, and destructive goats can be. Watch as they tear apart this sign.

A good time was had by all… but the best part of was spending day with family. 🙂
