The Attentive Traveler – Restaurant Review – The Oceanaire – Minneapolis, Minnesota

To celebrate our 33rd Wedding Anniversary, we spent a nice weekend in Minneapolis – highlighted by a wonderful dinner at Jackie’s favorite seafood restaurant – the Oceanaire.

The Oceanaire knows what they are doing. This is a place where you go to be served. We love coming here to be pampered. It is professional. It is detailed. It is ultimately – for us – enjoyable.

Jackie’s favorite… Crabcakes

I loved… and felt hours later… these Diablo Shrimp.

Simply prepared… it is what they do best! Excellent quality… clean…

Scallops… also excellent.

The must have hashbrowns… I don’t know what it is about downtown MPLS – but the restaurants love to serve outstanding hashbrowns!

And just to show that we eat our vegetables… Asparagus.

This will not be the last time we eat at the Oceanaire. Most (probably all) larger cities have places where the quality makes the price worth it. And the restaurants survive and thrive because there are enough willing to enjoy the experience. Oceanaire gets our vote as the place to be sure is on your evening meal card during a visit to downtown Minneapolis.
