Biscuit Love in Nashville is one of our must-stops. They had us at hello when we saw their mission statement – “We are Here to Nourish Lives”
Biscuit Love serves breakfast and lunch… but we’ve never been here for lunch. 🙂 It started in 2012 with a bag of flour, an Airstream food truck, and a dream. Now they have four locations and a 5th expected to open in 2023.
From their website, they state that they believe in breakfast for good. They want us to walk through the doors and know that we are welcomed home. They wanted to create a place for us to share a meal with those we love – made from scratch and locally sourced.
First to share… these are Bonuts – Fried Biscuit Dough, Tossed in Sugar, topped with Lemon Mascarpone, served over Blueberry Compote. $8.50 – Yum!
Jackie had the egg plate – 2 eggs any style, Cheese Grits, Biscuit, Jam, choice of Bacon or Sausage – $12.50 – she didn’t dig the grits (never does) – but really liked the bacon!
I had the Southern Benny – Open-Faced Buttermilk Biscuit topped with shaved Country Ham, 2 eggs, and Sausage Gravy. $12.00. Very good – added a little pepper to the gravy.
Wrap it up with The Bloody for Jackie – Spicy mix, Vodka, garnished with a Pickled Pepperoncini, Pickled Peppadew and Love Dust. $10. I just had coffee and water… 🙂
This place is a must visit each time we are in Nashville. We hope you’ll give this place a try. We promise you’ll smile at least once. 🙂
