The Attentive Traveler – Italy 2023 – Pisa & Lucca – Where we slept

We only stayed one night in the Pisa/Lucca area. We decided to use Lucca as our home base and took the train to the sites in Pisa.

We stayed at A Palazzo Busdraghi. It has eight comfortable, pastel-colored rooms with modern baths – ours had a whirlpool tub.

A Palazzo Busdraghi is a tastefully converted 13th-century palace tucked inside a creaky courtyard.

The owner – Marta – seemed to be omni-present and worked hard to keep all the guests happy. We also were helped by Ingrid who was just as delightful.

It’s conveniently located within the walls of old Lucca on Via Fillungo.

You will climb a pretty good flight of stairs to get to the main lobby.

We paid $165 euros for the night – which included breakfast.
