Since we were in Pisa/Lucca for only one night, our look at the food choices will be a bit lite.
While touring Pisa, we had a quick bite to eat at one of the restaurants just off the main Field of Miracles. Nothing remarkable… but edible.
We did catch a coffee in the cafe above the Pisa Museum. We would recommend that as a classy way to take in the view while enjoying a nice cafe and perhaps a sweet.
Our main dinner was back in Lucca – where we enjoyed Canuleia Trattoria.
Canuleia Trattoria is run by the enthusiastic Matteo (the chef) and Eleonora (head waiter).
They made everything fresh in their small kitchen.
You can eat tasty Tuscan cuisine in the tight, dressy, and romantic little dining room or outside on the garden courtyard.
We chose the garden courtyard. We loved the ambiance – the mood could not even more perfect!
This place is justifiably popular – so be sure to reserve in advance.
Here is the website – www.canuleiatrattoria.it
Notice the prices. This is a very nice – very high-end place. Main courses are in the 20 Euro area.
Lemoncello
Classy as hell. Struck the perfect cord. I think Jackie and I would go back to Lucca just to eat here again. 🙂 Highly recommended!
