The Attentive Traveler – Hotel Review – Perle Oban Hotel – Oban, Scotland

Hotel at end of road.

The Perle Oban Hotel is the luxury boutique splurge. Right across from the harbor, it has 59 super-sleek rooms with calming sea-color walls, decorative bath-tile floors, and rain showers.

It also has a pretty fancy restaurant, bar with light bites, and a nice breakfast area.

The challenge is parking. There are a couple spots on the street, but you are directly across the road from the train station and ferry terminal…you have to be pretty lucky to grab one of them.

There is a pay parking lot about 2 blocks away, which we used. Dragging your luggage a couple of blocks slightly dulled the class of the hotel. But there is no disputing that it is a great location, and the views out the windows are hard to beat.
